HAzCHEM AND DANGEROUS GOODS
Dangerous goods must be clearly identified and labelled while
being transported or stored in a facility.
Dangerous goods are substances (liquids, gases or solids) that can
harm people, other living organisms, properties or the environment.
They are commonly known as HazMat. Dangerous goods symbols
provide visual information on DG classes to emergency services
personnel in the event of an emergency.
Hazchem is a warning plate system used for transporting hazardous
substances or on storage facilities. The system is used in Australia,
New zealand, Malaysia and United Kingdom. It gives the Emergency
Action Code (EAC) for fire brigade to determine the course of action
if there’s an accident.
Hartac manufactures a whole range of hazardous goods class labels,
placards and chemical information panels to meet the specifications
of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code.
