Wet Chemical fire extinguishers can be distinguished by an oatmeal coloured band around the top of the cylinder. Wet Chemical extinguishes fire by cooling the oil temperature and developing a soapy foam blanket over the surface of the fuel.
Wet Chemical extinguishers are suitable for the following types of fire:
